Saviours of Strays

Official Vision & Statement

🏠 Our Core Philosophy on Sheltering

Saviours of Strays is not in favor of any shelter to keep healthy dogs in it. Instead of shelters, there should be medical facilities, equipment, and well-versed qualified doctors, vets, and paravets in every zone of every city, Union Territory, and State.

🚑 Emergency & Essential Infrastructure

The demand of the time requires immediate action on the following:

• Enhanced Response: More ambulances and dedicated helplines.
• Rapid Intervention: Anti-Cruelty and Medical Quick Response Teams (QRTs).
• 24/7 Accessibility: Round-the-clock veterinary shops and clinics.

🎓 Awareness, Education & Coexistence

  • 📍 Outreach: Awareness programs at the local society level, RWAs, AOAs, schools, colleges, universities, and corporate offices.
  • 📚 Academic Curriculum: Mandatory inclusion of material related to compassion, kindness, and coexistence in the education system.

📊 Population Management & Strategy

To ensure effective and humane welfare, we prioritize:

  • Direct Action: Regular CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return) and Vaccination drives.
  • Data-Driven Welfare: A Community Animal Census to ensure effective vaccination and neuter drives, along with the establishment of designated feeding points.

⚖️ Governance & Capacity Building

• Training: Mandatory refresher courses for Police Staff, Animal Welfare authorities, and volunteers.

• Content: Courses must cover the latest Animal Welfare Rules, First Aid procedures, and legal frameworks.
